Congratulations on the successful publication of the international standard IEC TS 62607-4-8, which was developed by our company

Release time:2020-02-07    Views:7741

On February 7, 2020, the international standard IEC/TS 62607-4-8:20, developed under the leadership of our company, "Key Control Characteristics of Nanometer Manufacturing -- Part 4-8: Determination of moisture content in electrode nanomaterials of nanometer electric energy Storage devices, Carl Fischer Law" was officially released. So far, our company has led or participated in the development of 3 international standards (the other 2 are IEC/TS 62607-4-2:2016 and IEC/TS 62607-4-6:2015), 9 national standards and 3 group standards.

IEC/TS 62607-4-8:20, Critical Control Characteristics of Nanometer Manufacturing -- Part 4-8: Determination of moisture content in electrode nanomaterials of nanoelectrical energy Storage Devices, Karl Fischer Method provides a test method for the determination of moisture content in electrode nanomaterials of nanoelectrical energy storage devices using Karl Fischer Coulometric titration.

The moisture content of electrode nanomaterials is one of the important indexes to be determined in the quality control test. Water will affect the electrical performance, cycling performance and safety performance of the nanomaterials.

For the test of material moisture, the usual methods are gravimetric method, drying method, etc., but there are some problems, such as low test accuracy, non-uniform parameter setting, and lack of universality. Karl fischer method is the most specific and accurate chemical method for the determination of water content of substances, which has the advantages of simple operation, accurate measurement and stable performance. The Karl Fischer Coulomb titration method is particularly good at accurately determining the trace moisture (1 PPM ~ 1000 PPM) in low moisture samples such as electrode nanomaterials.

Current Karl fischer method was developed for the determination of moisture content related 21 items in the ISO/IEC international standard, 16 standard volumetric titration method is used, the five criteria by coulomb titration method, the sample processing (for example, sampling control) sample preparation, test steps (for example, the dew point control), the test parameters (for example, the moisture evaporate the temperature Settings) are not applicable to electrode moisture content in the nanometer material test, test result is not accurate. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate the standard for water content measurement of electrode nanomaterials, unify the test standard in the international scope, ensure the quality control, and fill the gap of domestic and foreign standards in this field.
